I am currently a Masters student, at Columbia University, studying Mechanical Engineering. I am applying to the R&D ME/Design position in the Student Internship program for summer 2015. I have always admired 3M’s dedication to creating new, innovative products, and respected the company’s open embrace of the risk that comes with constant innovation.

I have extensive experience working in both university, and private research labs. My strong analytical skills are well suited towards addressing opened ended problems, and my experience with designing products that incorporate nano and micro materials make me an ideal candidate for this position. I have the ability to effectively translate customer requirements into feasible products and it is reflected in my design awards. My coursework during my undergraduate and graduate semesters have included multiple classes on the design and fabrication of nanoscale and microscale devices, and I am very capable of applying this knowledge to real world products, as demonstrated in my Nanoengineered Energy Technology project and Alphabet Energy Design project.
