Dear Sir/Madame,

I am a 3rd year Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student in Nanyang Technological University expecting to graduate with Second Class Upper Honors with a Minor in Business in June 2016. As an ardent user of the brands in the product lineup of P&G, I can say I share the same taste as P&G. I want to explore what went behind the scenes of making these brands a hit and I believe my leadership skills and my great desire to apply my engineering fundamental knowledge to new and exciting projects will allow me to make an immediate contribution to the needs of P&G, thus helping P&G meet its goals.

I have held several leadership roles in which have developed my creative abilities and provided me with the skills necessary to lead and communicate effectively. As a business leader and member of many sports teams, I understand the importance of team-work and team spirit in attaining success.

I started and ran a business of my own at the age of 18. FullMarks Dot Com, a tuition and art centre was started in august 2010. I run a team of 10-12 private tutors and art instructors, and market my business in various ways to reach out to more students. My business has made me an accomplished, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated individual with business acumen. I adopt an energetic leadership style that allows me to grow my interpersonal skills particularly in the areas of communication and delegation.

My recent internship in Rolls Royce Plc as an operations intern introduced me to the many facets of operations planning, which involved developing production plans for manufacturing of products, and converting those production plans into sales for the company. The high pressured demands of this job gave me the confidence to carry out roles with responsibility and attention to detail. . An internship in a state of the art manufacturing facility, like that of Rolls-Royce did not only teach me the functions of production manufacturing and lean six sigma, but also honed my analytical skills and my ability to work in a result oriented manner. These skills will provide me with an edge to contribute to the existing excellence at P&G.

Engineering has always intrigued me. The thrill of innovating and employing creative ways to solve difficult problems, makes engineering fun and challenges me. This stemmed my interest to develop an innovative model of a portable UV-LED water bottle that can filter fresh drinking water from any source for an Engineering project in an Engineering design module.

I admire the extensive research and development that P&G undertakes in order to come up with ideas and business solutions that can improve and sustain their brands. . I want to ultimately be part of an organisation that will utilize my analytical and leadership skills to develop ground breaking technologies and I believe P&G will provide me with a flexible, fast paced environment with challenging assignments and global opportunities.

With my existing work experience in running a business as well as working in a manufacturing facility, I believe I can bring a fresh personality to your organisation and contribute unique ideas, visions and plans that will help P&G achieve greater recognition.
